In the whole of 1970s rock music, few songs have as much weight or as much continued relevance as ‘Kashmir’. The song is over eight minutes long and everything about it screams ‘epic’. Robert Plant called it ‘the pride of Led Zeppelin’ and there is something about the ambition of ‘Kashmir’ that makes it unique.

Led Zepplin had already become one of the biggest rock bands on the planet when they released ‘Black Dog’ a notable highpoint of their IV album.  The song is also highly regarded due to its complicated arrangement, making it not only recognisable but also difficult to cover thanks to its complex riff which moves back on itself over several different time signatures.

‘Heartbreaker’ is one of those Led Zepplin classics that sums up classic British rock at its best.  With riffmaster general Jimmy Page on guitar producing memorable riffs as well as improvised solos, Led Zepplin remains a rock god amongst the industry.

When Led Zepp appeared on the scene they took the world by storm! Riff after riff blew everyone away, including the competition. They roared around America in a haze of drugs, drink and magnificent guitar rock. Drummer John Bonham’s sad demise was a direct result of this crazed excess but he was as instrumental in the mighty sound of Led Zepp as Jimmy Page’s hot riffing, Robert Plant’s gargantuan vocals and the deep-down-and-dirty bass of John Paul Jones.
